Projekt Katarakt

Im Herbst 2009 wurde dieses Projekt in Zusammenarbeit von Herrn Prof. Distl Institutsdirektor an der Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, Institut für Tierzucht und Vererbungsforschung und mir ins Leben gerufen.
Anfang Februar 2010, starteten wir damit Blutproben im Inland und Ausland zu sammeln, von freien und an Katarakt ( Grauer Star ) erkrankten Hunden, so war es möglich eine Datenbank anzulegen.
Mittlerweile konnte eine bestimmte Anzahl, auserwählter, repräsentativer Blutproben zur Genotypisierung in die USA versendet werden.
In Absprache mit Prof. Distl informiere ich Sie, als Ansprechpartnerin, dass diese Blutproben, genotypisiert wieder in Hannover eingegangen sind.

Das Jahr 2015 hat gut begonnen, denn Prof. Distl setzt nun seine begonnenen Untersuchungen fort.
Gibt es Neuigkeiten, werde ich selbstverständlich darüber berichten.
Für Fragen stehe ich Ihnen, als Ansprechpartnerin, wie bisher gerne im Rahmen meiner Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung.

Project Cataract – Gentest For The Race Lagotto Romagnolo

In autumn 2009 this project was created in cooperation with Prof. Distl, Director of the Institute at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics and me.
Early february 2010 we started to collect blood samples all over the world of free and cataract affected dogs.
In the meantime, Prof. Distl could sent a certain number of representativ, selected blood samples for genotyping to the USA.
In agreement with Prof. Distl I inform you, as contact person, that these blood samples genotyped are received back to Hannover.
2015 has started well, because of Prof. Distl, now continues his examinations.
If there are any news, of course I will report about it.
For questions don`t hesitate to ask me, as in the past.
